Welcome to the interactive companion to the Parent 2.0 wiki. Wikis are helpful for collaboration, but are not so useful for conversations. This site provides that venue for discussion and exploration of the ideas associated with building a K-12 Parent Portal in the Parent 2.0 wiki.

This site will also be the home of the K-12 Parent Portal Implementation Guide (click the "Guide" menu tab to access). Join the journey and provide feedback as the Guide is developed. The Guide will reside here as a tool available for use and a pdf version will be available for download.
There are two ways you can participate:
First, you can participate in the conversation specific to the development of a K-12 Parent Portal. Click the menu tab "Conversation".
Second, you can join an existing discussion specific to you or in the general forum or by starting your own discussion thread, or in the general discussion forum. Click the menu tab "Forums".

The Portal sounds useful but it is not different enough from just using the CBE or school website to be worth spending too much money on.
